NH UXPA April Meeting – Crafting a Story to Create Change in Your Organization

Crafting a compelling story through content is how we can inspire change. This presentation will follow the case study of Wayfair’s Design System from the mid-2019 formation of a dedicated team to its current state as a world-class design system. The road from then to now was… not smooth.
In this presentation, you’ll learn how a lone Content Strategist in a sea of product designers and engineers was able to draw on the principles of content strategy to drive alignment within the team, implement a comprehensive communication strategy, and create a taxonomy and language for the system itself.

Jessie Rogers is a Content Strategist with a decade of experience in creating scalable content models to support organizations of all sizes. Currently, she is the content and operations lead for the Homebase Design System, which supports Wayfair’s product teams 5 brands, 4 geographies, Enterprise systems, and Admin tools.
