On a percent change basis, the top five states for job growth in 2018 were:

  1. Utah (+4.3 percent)
  2. New Hampshire (+4.2 percent)
  3. North Carolina (+4.0 percent)
  4. Nevada (+4.0 percent)
  5. and Washington (+3.5 percent).

Top 10 in Tech Job Employment

New Hampshire is in the top 10 states where percentage of tech workers relative to
its overall employment base.

  2. Washington: 11.2%
  3. Virginia: 11.1%
  4. Colorado: 10.8%
  5. District of Columbia: 10.8%
  6. Maryland: 10.7%
