Building A Strong Community

TechWomen|TechGirls is a NH Tech Alliance initiative focused on building a strong community of female professionals enthusiastic about technology and supporting efforts where girls are exploring STEM as a career or area of study. TechWomen|TechGirls holds programs for professional women to connect, educate and explore ideas around career development, technology initiatives and innovation. The community also deploys volunteers and mentors to support academic STEM initiatives and events for girls happening all over New Hampshire.

Promoting Women In Technology

Today’s current statistics show that although 47% of the workforce is women and 57% of all college graduates are women, only 25% of the US IT workforce is made up of women. Numbers get even lower when you look at US Computer Science graduates (18%) and US Computer Programming graduates (13%). Despite the growth in technology opportunities and the continued demand for qualified workers, the statistics show that women remain in the minority. With these staggering statistics, changes are needed in how we think about the pipeline and the retention of women in technology.

TechWomen Power Breakfast Series

Each month throughout the year, an amazing group of women (and men) comes together to network, share inspirational stories, grow professionally and personally and bring awareness to what is possible for women today. Our breakfast series empowers everyone who joins us to think differently in so many ways and all before 9:00 am on a Wednesday. With a list of incredible speakers over the last few years, those who have attended can tell you that there is no other event in our great state of New Hampshire quite like this. The feeling you will leave with and the relationships you will create at these breakfasts will stay with you long after the breakfast is over.

Annual Luncheon

The TechWomen Annual Awards Luncheon is the Alliance’s opportunity to highlight women and girls who are making a significant impact in our local technology environment. This event brings together technologists, entrepreneurs and business leaders from throughout the state to celebrate and highlight the impact that women are making in technology.

More Info

As with all Alliance events, this luncheon is only made possible with the diligent effort of a committee of women who focus year-round on this celebratory luncheon. We are grateful to all past and present sponsors who also help to make this luncheon a successful event.

TechWomen Ambassadors Week

Program Description

TechWomen Ambassadors Week (TWAW) is focused on building a strong community of women who are enthusiastic about technology and supporting efforts for young women to explore STEM careers. Since its inception in 2015, TWAW has been connecting our extraordinary community of volunteers to students by facilitating the opportunity to share their education and career experiences. Supported by the New Hampshire Tech Alliance and sponsored by local businesses, TWAW exposes students to opportunities they may not have realized were possible. Over the years, TWAW has reached over 2000 students and engaged over 250 professionals and over 450 student volunteers.
