The Council’s annual event celebrates New Hampshire’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and honors one or more individuals for their contributions to the state

The New Hampshire High Tech Council (Council) announces the opening of the application period for the 30th anniversary of the Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Award program. One of the Council’s flagship events, the Entrepreneur of the Year Award honors people who have made significant contributions to the advancement of technology-based businesses in New Hampshire. Any founder or senior-level manager of a New Hampshire business who has successfully organized, developed, or managed a technology concept into a commercial product or service is encouraged to apply for the prestigious award, which will be presented at the EOY event in mid-June.

Now in its 30th year, EOY has promoted tech-enabled business developments and honored New Hampshire’s leading technology entrepreneurs by calling attention to their successes. The application and full entry requirements are available here. The application deadline is Friday, May 4, 2018.

“New Hampshire has a growing and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem and is a great place for entrepreneurs to start on their journeys,” said Matt Cookson, executive director of the Council. “The Council is proud to be committed to supporting this ecosystem, fostering relationships and celebrating the efforts and successes that follow. These entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders are critical to the state as they contribute to the growth of New Hampshire’s economy. The Entrepreneur of the Year Award enables us to honor entrepreneurs and discover others whose accomplishments may not be as well known. Each year, we learn more about the incredible individuals in New Hampshire, and we are excited to see what 2018 brings.”

The Crowne Plaza in Nashua (soon to be DoubleTree by Hilton) will be the backdrop for the June celebration. The networking and recognition event attracts more than 250 people annually. Attendees include leaders of technology-based companies, established business professionals, students, and members of the greater technology community. Registration for the event will be available in the coming weeks.

Sponsors of the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards include Autodesk, Consolidated Communications (formerly FairPoint), Cook, Little, Rosenblatt & Manson, Dunn Rush, Oracle + Dyn, and TD Bank.
