SmartStack™ is an innovative, proprietary product developed in New Hampshire that monitors the cleanliness of lab exhaust air and indexes the associated high plume fans accordingly, leading to significant energy savings as compared to systems that just run continuously. It uses a photoionization detector (PID) to monitor the exhaust air for hundreds of compounds used in laboratories. As soon as contaminants are detected, a signal is sent to index the exhaust fans and the sensor is isolated from the system for a pre-programmed time. Measured Air Performance is dedicated to helping laboratory companies save energy.
“This year’s Product of the Year finalist presentations gave insight into five unique innovations that all have the potential to have an impact in the marketplace,” said Lisa King, chair of the Product of the Year Committee and member of the Alliance’s Board of Directors. “Steve and his team and this year’s winning company, Measured Air Performance, are the latest example of the range of brilliant minds at work and innovating here in New Hampshire. Congratulations to all the applicants and finalists for their magnificent work, and to the team at Measured Air Performance. SmartStack™ has certainly earned this honor.”
Each of the finalists were selected by a panel of judges to present at POY. The winner was selected based on the judges’ input and a real time vote of the audience at the end of the event. The 2018 Product of the Year finalists included The ONE Platform from B2W Software, C-Dose™ from DoseOptics, LLC, SmartStack™ from Measured Air Performance, the Scented e-Commerce Mailer from PAK Solutions and Vector from Waypoint Robotics, Inc.
“I was so impressed with all the other finalists and their innovations, that I had zero expectations of standing up here before you tonight,” said Steven Graves, CEO of Measured Air Performance. “There is a strong, innovative spirit here in New Hampshire and I have so much respect and admiration for the other finalists and products showcased this evening. Thank you all very much for voting SmartStack™ the 2018 Product of the Year. Receiving this award is truly an honor.”
As the winner of this year’s competition, Measured Air Performance received the prestigious Hew Hampshire Tech Alliance hand-cut crystal trophy, designed by world-renowned Pepi Herrmann Crystal of Gilford, NH. The trophy, which is engraved with all names of winners from the past 12 years, will also be prominently displayed at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, as well as a sample of SmartStack™.
