UNH-U.S. Department of Energy National Lab Day

This in-person conference will bring representatives from multiple U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories to UNH to raise awareness about the labs’ world-class scientific facilities and resources. It also aims to foster partnerships among researchers at UNH, other New England universities, industry leaders from across the region and the national labs to address society’s most pressing energy, environmental, national security and workforce challenges.

nuclear, astrophysics, space weather/heliophysics and grid stability

RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS

marine energy, energy efficient technologies and systems, equity/community financing and impact

ADVANCED MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURING

energy technology, catalysis and materials science, industrial innovation through advanced manufacturing technologies and partnerships

BIOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH

climate models and biogeochemical cycles, environmental molecular science and biological systems, carbon sequestration, terrestrial-aquatic and offshore ecosystems

EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

National Lab career fair, undergraduate and graduate research internships, postdoctoral fellowships, visiting faculty programs, and employment opportunities

Anyone interested in energy and related fields from New Hampshire and the region:

It is a NH event but open to anyone, with an emphasis on northern New England. It is free for students, with a $149 registration fee for academics (non-USNH), non-profits, and government and $189 registration fee for industry members.
