2022 Entrepreneur of the Year Announcement

The NH Tech Alliance is proud to announce that Ryan Barton, CEO of Mainstay Technologies is the recipient of the 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award will be presented in person at the annual Innovation Summit taking place on November 10th at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.

The Entrepreneur of the Year award was first given out in 1988. In the 34 years that have followed, this award has been presented to the brightest, most innovative individuals in New Hampshire’s tech industry. The award applicants are judged around risk, innovation, growth, competition, profitability and employment.

Ryan Barton started providing IT work for hire at 13 years old and at 16 landed his first professional IT job. In 2004 at the age of 20 he founded Mainstay Technologies with just a folding table for a desk.

Since then he has grown the company to over 80 employees.  Ryan’s focus has always been on people and culture. He credits the long term success of the company to the entire team and is committed to making Mainstay a 100-year company.

Mainstay has won numerous awards including 6 Best of Business awards from NH Business Review and 5 Best Companies to Work For Awards from Business NH Magazine. After 5 years of receiving the NH Best Companies to Work award, Mainstay was inducted into the NH Best Companies to Work For Hall of Fame in 2022.

Ryan will be presented with the 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year award on November 10th at the Innovation Summit. The summit will feature innovation and innovators from all over the state.  There will be presentations on what the future of tech in New Hampshire looks like as well as dedicated tracks for BioMed Tech, startups and economic development.
