Who They Are
CrowdNow got its start in Milford doing enterprise ServiceNow architecture and workflow consulting. Along the way, founder Gavin Lawton and his team noticed the same pattern at every client: talented people spending half their week managing operational friction and babysitting tickets. So they built AiOS to solve it — an AI operating system running autonomous digital coworkers that handle triage, governance, and routine approvals across enterprise tools, freeing teams to stay locked into deep, high-leverage work.
Why New Hampshire
Gavin grew up in Milford, and it’s always been home. “My work takes me all over for events and meetings, but I’ve found that New Hampshire provides a pure and grounded environment that I’ve come to appreciate more than ever,” he shared. He wants CrowdNow to reflect that same sense of stability and home. Being a short drive from the innovation hub in Boston helps, but he believes New Hampshire stands on its own as a place to build a world-class tech company — and the lack of sales tax is a practical advantage that’s hard to beat.
Recent Milestones
CrowdNow’s proudest milestone this year was watching its AI division grow to the point where it could officially spin off as its own independent, self-sustaining business. AiOS graduated from an internal product incubated inside CrowdNow into its own operating company — built and shipped by a team based right here in New Hampshire.
What’s Next
Right now, the team is focused on putting AiOS into the hands of more smaller teams to show them what true autonomous operations look like without sacrificing security.
Fun fact: CrowdNow doesn’t spend all its time behind terminals — for a good stretch, the crew fielded a full men’s league hockey team on Sunday nights, and even won the championship one year.
