The NH Tech Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Horton as the new Director of Engagement and Events, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to growth and community building amid a surge in membership.
In her role, Alex Horton will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing member engagement, amplifying the Alliance’s brand through the execution of impactful events, and implementing dynamic social media and marketing strategies.
Julie Demers, Executive Director of the NH Tech Alliance, expressed enthusiasm about Horton’s appointment, stating, “At its core, the Alliance’s mission is about bringing people together and building community. Cafe La Reine was a downtown staple, and Alex has demonstrated the ability to create community while actively participating in it.” Demers added, “Her entrepreneurial spirit, community connections, and experience with membership and trade organizations make her a perfect fit for this role.”
Horton shared enthusiastically that she is “honored to be working with such an amazing team to elevate and advocate for the tech industry throughout the State of New Hampshire. New Hampshire has always been a hub of innovation and progress and I am thrilled to be a part of that legacy. I look forward to planning some great events and connecting with the Tech Alliance members.”
In tandem with Horton’s appointment, the NH Tech Alliance has implemented a strategic restructuring of its staffing model. Stephanie Baxter, previously serving as Director of Programming and Engagement, has been promoted to the role of VP of Membership and Operations.
Demers acknowledged the significance of this restructuring, noting, “People are surprised when they realize we’ve been operating with such a small staff over the past few years. The number of events, initiatives, and content we’ve been able to deliver would not have been possible without Stephanie’s expertise, efficiency, and dedication to this organization.”
Baxter’s new role will allow her to focus on a membership strategy while providing strategic oversight of the Alliance’s programming, ensuring continued growth and impactful engagement within the tech community.
The NH Tech Alliance looks forward to the collective contributions of Alex Horton and Stephanie Baxter as they play pivotal roles in advancing the organization’s mission and serving its expanding membership.
