Tom Boucher
CEO of Kriddik
Please provide your 30-second pitch about your company. Kriddik is an extremely quick and easy to use private feedback system for any businesses’ guests to use via the app or website. The feedback is verified and qualified information that goes directly to the business owner via email or dashboard and is not shared publicly. This feedback helps the business owner reward employees, correct issues and answer guest concerns with great accuracy and speed, all while not hurting the business reputation online. Kriddik is slated to be the premier feedback platform for businesses…sharing the good, the bad, and the truth.
Who or what was your best resource for starting your company?
The company was originated by a conversation between the co-owner Victor Lemay and myself. We thought it would be great if there was an easy to use platform where guests could give quick accurate and qualified feedback directly to the business therefore helping the business and the guest. Victor is a long time guest and friend of our restaurants. Secondly the restaurants themselves were a great resource for starting Kriddik as it allowed us to test in eight locations how Kriddik compared to other feedback and social reviews sites. The results were tremendous – we are receiving far more honest and detailed feedback from guests that actually dined with us then we were receiving from any social review sites combined.
What was your biggest obstacle in starting your company and how did you overcome it?
Determining how ’simple’ we wanted to keep the product and whether we wanted an App or web-based product. Ultimately we decided to have both and they are equally used so we feel we made the right decision.
What’s the best advice you have received?
Keep it simple and laser focused.
What about the NH lifestyle appeals to you?
I love our state motto “Live Free or Die” and I think most Granite Staters firmly believe that. We have advantages over other New England states with our no sales tax or income tax. NH will always have a special place in my heart. We are proud that Kriddik was entirely developed by all NH based companies (App Development, Graphic Design, Web Development etc…)
What does the future look like for your company?
It looks great! We recently pitched to the University of New Hampshire‘s Rines Angel Fund class. The students were really taken with the idea and we hope that the company will raise private equity to grow our company to launch nationwide and get people to start Helping, Not Yelping.
