Every week, we will be spotlighting members of NHTA to bring awareness to the entrepreneurs, businesses, and innovators of New Hampshire’s expansive tech community. Be on the lookout every Monday for an opportunity to learn more about the exceptional members of the Alliance.

Why was NH chosen as the home of your company/branch? What do you love about New Hampshire?
The Upper Valley is the place to be! We get to experience the great outdoors (unlimited hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and more) with opportunities for meaningful and innovative work. There’s a lot happening here; at Simbex, we’ve observed mounting momentum over the past 20 years in both our own MedTech industry and nearby Tech-adjacent companies and startups.

What are some recent accomplishments or milestones of your company?
Last year, we celebrated two decades of developing and commercializing new medical devices and consumer health products for our partners, from Grant-funded to startups to Fortune 500 companies. Through designing, engineering, and bringing these products to market, we’ve learned countless lessons, acquired hard-earned know-how, and continuously iterated on the best ways to advance medical technologies at all stages of the product development process.

In particular, our past experience with federally-funded NEPDC and TREAT has guided the expansion of our own Commercialization Strategy Consulting Services, designed to help innovators de-risk their product development and deliver their products to market quickly and successfully.

Recently, our teams completed a week of training in Scrum and Agile product development –– which allows us greater ability to solve unique challenges and problems with increased efficiency, collaboration, and transparency for our clients.

What new and exciting things do you have planned? Or tell us a fun fact about the
company?
A fun fact about Simbex: Our offices are located in an old Mill building, next to a river that is being considered for a white water kayaking park.

From our offices, we can see Storrs Hill ski area and its 50m ski jump. Lunchtime ski runs during the winter and mountain biking during the summer are part of our employee benefits.

New wearables, consumer health devices, sensors, and connectivity capabilities enable better everyday monitoring of our well-being, while innovative clinical products are providing practitioners new tools to improve patient care; all allowing people to lead happier, healthier lives. We’re working with so many great innovators right now; it’s hard not to be excited about the future of MedTech in the Upper Valley and beyond!
