Five finalists have been selected for TechOut 2016, New Hampshire’s largest tech startup competition. A partnership between the NH High Tech Council (Council) and Alpha Loft, TechOut identifies entrepreneurs with viable plans to develop and market new technology products and funds them through investment capital awards of $100,000 a year. The New Hampshire High Tech Council (Council) will be designating our October Power Breakfast event to hold a special “Power Forum” featuring the candidates for the US Senate and Governor’s office on Wednesday, October 12 from 7:30 to 10 am at the Manchester Country Club, 180 South River Road in Bedford. This special Power Breakfast Forum will be “town hall” style, allowing each candidate the opportunity to present their views on the impact and importance of the tech sector in NH, and how their respective administrations/offices would support growth and innovation in the future, and will allow for questions from the audience. The New Hampshire High Tech Council will be hosting the candidates for the US Senate and Governor’s office on October 12. Why is this important? The technology sector is a growth industry in New Hampshire, and one of great importance. Many candidates use the words “innovation” and “entrepreneurism” in their platforms. The Power Forum will allow our membership to hear up close and personal from the candidates on not only the understanding of our industry’s importance, but what their plans would be to support the industry through their administration at the state and federal level.
