New Hampshire’s largest startup competition, TechOut, is now accepting applications for its 2016 competition. TechOut, jointly organized by the NH High Tech Council and AlphaLoft, is entering its fifth year of recognizing talented entrepreneurs by awarding cash investments to promising tech start-up companies. The competition will provide a half a million dollars in financing, awarded over the course of five years. This year’s awards event is October 5 at Dyn in Manchester, NH. The NH High Tech Council’s TechWomen|TechGirls committee is in planning stages for the Second Annual TechWomen Ambassadors Week 2016 for ninth grade students. Patrick Sullivan, president and cofounder of Game Creek Video, a mobile high-def sporting event video and television production company based in Hudson, was named 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year at the NH High Tech Council’s annual celebration on June 7. Sullivan pivoted a career in sports team management into an innovative and Emmy Award-winnng business that produces major sporting events for networks and organizations across the globe. Read more. Winner announced at annual award event celebrating innovative disruptors at Southern NH University on Tuesday, June 7Four New Hampshire entrepreneurs have been selected as finalists for the Council’s annual Entrepreneur of the Year Award. They are: Howard Brodsky, CEO of CCA Global Partners of Manchester; Patrick Sullivan, president of Game Creek Video, LLC of Hudson, and Marjorie and Stephen Thorpe, president and vice president of finance, respectively, of Adaptive Communications LLC of Portsmouth.
