Happy New Year!

2022 was an amazing year for the Alliance with the return of in person events and launch of our first in person Innovation Summit. We have been working hard to refine, grow and shape our programs to support the businesses and tech professionals in New Hampshire. We are excited to announce a number of new initiatives for 2023, aimed at fulfilling the needs you’ve voiced, and supporting both tech businesses and professionals in New Hampshire.

Ascending Leaders in Tech

One of our most exciting announcements is the launch of the Ascending Leaders in Tech program, a six course leadership program designed for tech professionals in leadership positions and or those who aspire to be in one. The program will teach participants relationship skills, finance skills, mental resilience and leadership excellence. Seasoned tech executives will also participate as advisors throughout the program, allowing participants to walk away with a built in network of influential leaders across the state.

Networking for Founders

We’ve heard countless times from founders that they are looking for a place to connect with other founders. You’ve asked, and we’ve listened! Our new, quarterly networking events, are designed specifically for tech founders and startup executives to provide the opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals. These events are open exclusively for individuals who are currently or have previously been a founder, or those who hold executive positions at startups within the tech industry. Join us for the inaugural event in March and expand your network of fellow founders.

Investor Network

Another request we hear is to provide a community for investors to connect with other investors. We will be launching an Investor Network in March, where members will have access to relevant information and resources and will learn more about the local New Hampshire ecosystem. If you are an equity investor and interested in joining, please reach out for an invitation.

Tech Social and Showcase

This spring we will launch a new event that will be part tech showcase, part networking and part fun and games.  Coming together socially to build relationships is not only valuable, but we all deserve a night out too, and we’re looking forward to our first event in May.

Tech Power Breakfast

We have been hosting our TechWomen Power Breakfasts for 8 years, providing inspiration and education for tech professionals in New Hampshire. In the coming weeks you’ll notice we’ll rebrand as the Tech Power Breakfast. We will continue to feature amazing female tech professionals and supporters as speakers, but will now have a different name. These events have always been open to all tech professionals, regardless of gender identity, but we understand there has been confusion around who should attend. So we’re here to let you know that ANYONE and EVERYONE is welcome to join us. We guarantee you’ll start your day off right and make valuable connections.

TechWomen Connect and Awards

We’ve taken a long hard look at our TechWomen Awards program and decided it was time for a revamp, so that’s just what we’re doing! This spring, we’ll be hosting a dynamic event that will include interactive activities and delicious food and drinks. This will be a must-attend event for women in tech. You’ll have the opportunity to meet new people, have some fun, and hear about the amazing work being done from our Tech Student, Tech Educator and Tech Professional of the Year.

Speaker Database

The Alliance is developing a resource database of tech professionals seeking speaking engagements. These opportunities may include speaking with students, participating in Alliance events, or being referred to other organizations by the Alliance when they reach out to us for help (which happens all the time!). We will reach out to schools bi-annually, reminding them of this resource and connecting them with those speakers interested in sharing their expertise with students.

Job Board

Our tech job board, launched in 2022, is a great resource for member companies to advertise their open positions. As a benefit of Alliance membership, posting job listings on the board is completely FREE, and a great way to get the word out about your open roles to our 13k followers on social media.

In addition to the changes above, we’re continuing with some of our staple programs as well.

eBrew – Quarterly networking event in Portsmouth (and it’s free!)
Tech Connect! – Free networking events for tech professionals. We’ll host events in Manchester, Nashua and the Upper Valley in 2023
Innovation Summit – Save the Date! October 17th at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.
Product of the Year – Save the Date! December 7th

We’re excited for all that is to come in 2023. If you are excited for what’s to come and appreciate the work we are doing, we invite you to become a member! As a member of the Alliance, you will receive access to a valuable network and your membership dollars ensure our continued ability to offer a wide range of programs.

If you’re interested in becoming a member or learning more, please reach out to Stephanie Baxter.

For current members, enhance your involvement by joining one of our committees or sponsoring one of our programs.
We are here to support and grow the tech industry in New Hampshire. Don’t ever hesitate to reach out if there is something we can help you with. It’s what we do best!
